Common questions
Do I need a visa for Bali?
It depends on your passport. 19 passports, including the ASEAN countries, Brazil, Colombia and Turkey, can enter without a visa for up to 30 days. 79 more, including the EU, the UK, the US, Canada and Australia, need the visa on arrival (e-VOA). The rest need an e-Visa before they fly.
How much is the Bali visa on arrival?
IDR 500,000 per person for 30 days. It can be extended once, online, for 30 more days at the same price. Apply on the official site before you fly to skip the queue, or buy it at the airport counter in Bali.
How long can I stay in Bali?
Visa-free entry gives 30 days and can't be extended. The visa on arrival gives 30 days plus a 30-day extension. For longer stays, the C1 tourist e-Visa gives 60 days and can be extended up to 180 in total.
Where do I apply for the e-VOA?
Only on Indonesia's official immigration site, evisa.imigrasi.go.id. Many other sites look official and charge extra for the same visa.
What else do I need to enter Bali?
A passport valid for 6 months from arrival, a return or onward ticket, the free All Indonesia arrival card (filled in within the 3 days before you land) and the Bali tourist levy of IDR 150,000. If you come from a country with yellow fever risk, also the vaccination certificate.
