What you need to enter Bali

It depends on your passport and where you're flying in from. Pick them and we'll show you only what applies to you.

    Required

    Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the day you arrive. ID cards aren't accepted.

    • Check it's in good condition: torn or damaged passports can be refused at the border.
    • Keep a photo of the photo page on your phone, separate from the passport.
  • Return or onward ticket

    Required

    You must show a flight out of Indonesia within your allowed stay. Airlines check it before you board.

    • Immigration may also ask for your first hotel booking and proof of enough money for the trip.
  • All Indonesia arrival card

    RequiredFrom 3 days before arrival

    Free online form that replaces the old customs and health declarations. Fill it in within the 3 days before you land and keep the QR code.

    • Mandatory for everyone, children included. One adult can fill it in for the whole family; each person gets their own QR.
    • It's free: only use allindonesia.imigrasi.go.id or the official All Indonesia app.
    • You'll need your passport, flight number and address in Bali.
  • Bali tourist levy

    RequiredIDR 150,000

    IDR 150,000 (about €8) per person, paid once per trip. Pay online before you fly and save the QR voucher they email you.

    • Only on the official site, lovebali.baliprov.go.id, or the Love Bali app. Any other site or QR offered in person is a scam.
    • Card, bank transfer or QRIS. If it fails, there's a counter in the arrivals hall at Bali airport.
    • It covers the whole stay until you leave Indonesia, even if you visit other islands.
  • Travel insurance with medical cover

    Not required to enter, but strongly recommended: private hospitals in Bali are expensive and ask for payment or a guarantee upfront.
