Going to Nusa Penida? See who'll be around
Plan your trip and we'll show you travellers on your dates. Only if you both want.
A beach below a cliff, reached by a long staircase, with far fewer people than the west coast.
It's on the east coast, away from the tour circuit, and you can tell: there's room to spread out a towel. Getting there means a long staircase down, and the climb back in the sun is tiring, so go early and save your energy. At the bottom you'll find pale sand, a rock arch at one end and calm water for a swim when the sea is gentle; check the waves before getting in. Bring water, snacks and sunscreen, since shade is scarce. Allow around two and a half hours including the steps. It suits people who'd rather spend a quiet stretch on the beach than grab a photo and leave.
