Going to Kuta? See who'll be around
Plan your trip and we'll show you travellers on your dates. Only if you both want.
A short, quiet stop on a busy Legian street, for understanding Bali's 2002 and the people who lived it.
This one's for anyone who wants more from Kuta than beaches and nightlife. The memorial sits right on a Legian street lined with bars and shops, and the contrast hits you: suddenly it's quiet. Take your time reading the names on the plaque, along with the nationalities of those who died. Go in the morning, when it's calmer and the heat hasn't kicked in. Half an hour is plenty, and it's walkable from lots of Kuta and Legian stays, so it fits before lunch. Keep it respectful; it isn't a spot for selfies. It suits solo travellers who like a bit of context with their trip.
