A beach on the Gianyar coast where what you see is local life: fishing boats, dark sand and people strolling at the end of the day. It's not for swimming, since the surf is usually strong, but for sitting, walking the shoreline and watching the sun go down. Go late afternoon and stay until dark; there are warungs nearby for grilled fish. It's a good half hour or more from Ubud by scooter or driver, so pair it with something else in the east. Good if you avoid crowded beaches and want a simple plan.
