Going to Sidemen? See who'll be around
Plan your trip and we'll show you travellers on your dates. Only if you both want.
The gate that frames Mount Agung: go before dawn and expect to queue for your turn.
The famous gate with the volcano behind it is what draws nearly everyone, so go very early, when the queue is shortest. Set aside several hours: you wait your turn for the photo, and there are stairs up to the higher temples, which plenty of people end up liking more than the gate itself. Wear something that covers shoulders and knees, and bring a layer and water. If cloud rolls in the volcano won't show, so go in with an open mind. Best for people who like temples and have patience, and not so much for anyone who hates queues.
