Going to Uluwatu? See who'll be around
Plan your trip and we'll show you travellers on your dates. Only if you both want.
A wide pale-sand beach between cliffs, calm and with plenty of room for a towel.
This is for anyone who wants a proper all-day beach without hunting for a spot. The road drops through a cut in the cliff, past Hindu statues carved into the rock, and below there's a long stretch of sand with beach shacks and loungers. Mornings are quieter and the water is usually calmer; later the shade runs out fast. It works well with kids or with someone who doesn't surf. If you're on your own, it's easy to settle into a lounger and chat with the people at the warungs. Bring sunscreen and some cash. Suits families, slow beach days and non-surfers.
