Going to Sidemen? See who'll be around
Plan your trip and we'll show you travellers on your dates. Only if you both want.
Klungkung's former hall of justice, with painted ceilings in the Kamasan style.
Worth it if you like detail: the floating pavilion has ceilings covered in traditional paintings that tell Balinese stories. Go in the morning, before the heat builds, and allow an hour to an hour and a quarter for the grounds and museum. A local guide or a bit of reading helps you make sense of the scenes. Wear something that covers shoulders and knees. It's in the town of Semarapura, so it's easy to pair with lunch and the market. Good for history and art lovers, and for anyone who wants something other than yet another temple.
