Few places in Canggu let you step out of your room onto the sand of Echo Beach, and this is one of them. It's adults only, with a shared kitchen, a garden and an indoor pool for when the sun gets fierce. You check in without going through reception, and you can hire a car to escape to other corners of the island. Early surfers and couples in no hurry fit right in. The feel is simple and local rather than beach club: you eat at the warungs nearby and go to bed early.
