This is where people come to watch the surfers and stay until the light goes. The sand is dark, the waves are for those who already surf, and along one side there are beach bars facing the sea where you can sit with a cold drink. Arrive mid-afternoon: there's time to stroll, watch the surf and claim a spot before sunset, when it fills up. Mind the currents if you swim and watch your step at low tide. You can walk or scoot over from central Canggu. Great if you're on your own and want to be around people without having to chat.
