The basics done right: a double bungalow with a balcony, garden, pool and a desk open all night. You can rent a bike to roam the Bisma rice fields, and the hotel arranges transfers. Museums and monkeys are both nearby, and nights are calm. It doesn't pretend to be more than a clean, quiet base from which to see Ubud. A good fit for backpackers who spend little time in each place.
