Going to Nusa Penida? See who'll be around

A natural rock arch over a cove where the sea rolls in: a short, easy stop right off the road.
One of the easiest stops on the island: park, walk a few minutes and look down into a round cove that the sea enters through a huge rock arch. You can't go down or swim, so it's about looking, taking photos and listening to the waves. Mornings are quieter and cooler; tour groups arrive around midday. The edges aren't well protected, so take care with photos and with kids. It's usually paired with the natural pool a short walk away. Half an hour to forty-five minutes is plenty. A good fit if you're doing the west-coast loop by scooter or car and want something beautiful without effort.
