This is for people who come to Amed for the sea, not the nightlife. The bungalows are Balinese in style, tucked into tropical garden, each with its own terrace and mosquito net. The staff will set up a dive, fishing or snorkel trip, and the restaurant means dinner needs no planning. Jemeluk and Lipah are on foot; Lempuyang Temple is better by scooter. It's quiet and easy to chat with the people running it. A good base for solo travellers who like it simple and for couples who live in the water all day.
