Going to Amed? See who'll be around

Plan your trip and we'll show you travellers on your dates. Only if you both want.

A dive site in Jemeluk Bay where stone statues and a small shrine sit on the seabed as an artificial reef.

Off Amed's coast, in the bay in front of Jemeluk, a group of stone statues and shrine-like structures rests on the seabed. Divers reach it by boat or from the shore with a local dive centre; the mapping data records the site as an artificial reef at 29 m, so it suits certified divers rather than beginners on a first try-dive. Visibility is usually best in the calm morning hours, before the afternoon breeze stirs the surface. Bring your own dive guide — there are no facilities on site — and plan for roughly an hour including the boat ride. A torch helps bring out the colours on the statues.
