Going to Canggu? See who'll be around
Plan your trip and we'll show you travellers on your dates. Only if you both want.
A forest of towering trees and hundreds of macaques: an hour's wander, as long as you mind your belongings.
A shady forest of very tall trees with a temple tucked among them, home to hundreds of macaques. It's an hour's visit rather than a half-day, so pair it with something else nearby. Go in the morning when it's quieter and the monkeys are calmer. Keep sunglasses, hats, bottles and your phone zipped away in a closed bag, because they get snatched without warning. Don't stare them down or flash food. It suits anyone who likes watching animals and wants a cool walk away from the beaches. If you're with kids, keep them close.
