Going to Uluwatu? See who'll be around
Plan your trip and we'll show you travellers on your dates. Only if you both want.
A cliff-edge temple for sunset, with kecak dance and monkeys that mean business.
This is the south's classic sunset plan. Get there an hour early, walk the paths along the cliff edge and grab a spot facing the sea before it fills up. A sarong is lent to you at the entrance, so you don't need to bring one. The monkeys snatch glasses, hats and phones, so keep everything zipped in a bag and don't show food. If you want the kecak dance, check the showtime on arrival: it lines up with sunset and the amphitheatre fills early. It's a short scooter ride from Bingin or Padang Padang. Best for people who love big scenery and can put up with a crowd in exchange for the view.
