One different touch: a hot spring bath to enjoy after hiking the valley. Rooms are doubles with a balcony and a terrace over the garden, and some take an extra child. The front desk is open round the clock, in case you arrive late. There are massages, bike hire and cooking classes, and breakfast comes to the room. Plain though it looks, nothing essential's missing. It's an option for solo travellers, couples and families who want a modest bill with one special touch; without a pool or a famous restaurant, there's no great pretension either.
