A huge garden high in the mountains, cool and green. Good for slow walks away from coastal heat.
The climate changes here: you're up in the mountains of central Bali, where it's cool and sometimes misty, a welcome break after days of heat. It's big enough that you should pick what to see rather than try everything; there are orchid, fern and forest areas that reward a slow walk. Go in the morning, bring a light jacket and comfortable shoes, and count on at least a couple of hours. It works well with kids or for anyone who likes plants and unhurried strolls, and less for those wanting adrenaline or temples.
