A lake in the Bedugul highlands where the air is cool and mornings often bring mist over the water. It's better early, before the tour buses show up and while you can stroll the shore in peace. Bring a light jacket and check the sky first: under cloud the view loses a lot. It pairs well with the lakeside temple and the nearby botanic garden in a single morning. It suits solo travellers after a mountain day, and less so anyone wanting beach or action.
