Travelling with kids, or just done with temples and rice fields for a day? This park in Singapadu is a short drive from Ubud and on the way south, so it fits nicely on a day you're changing base. The enclosures sit in thick greenery and you walk between them on shaded paths. Go in the morning, when the animals are more active and the heat is still bearable. Allow about three hours and bring water and mosquito repellent. Some activities involve close contact with animals, so look at how they're run before signing up. Best for families and anyone after an easy day without an early start.
