Going to Ubud? See who'll be around
Plan your trip and we'll show you travellers on your dates. Only if you both want.
A walk along a grassy ridge between two valleys, minutes from the centre. Go at dawn, before the sun gets fierce.
At dawn, with mist still sitting in the ravines, this ridge is the calmest place you'll find in Ubud. The path starts by the Gunung Lebah temple, climbs a little and then follows a crest of tall grass with green valleys on both sides, ending among rice fields and a couple of cafés for a break. There's no shade, so go very early or late in the day, with water, a cap and comfortable shoes. There and back takes about an hour and a half at an easy pace. It's ideal on your own, with headphones or without. For anyone who likes to start the day on foot and slowly.
