Going to Ubud? See who'll be around
Plan your trip and we'll show you travellers on your dates. Only if you both want.
A calm walk through Balinese painting, pavilion by pavilion.
If you want to make sense of the island's art without getting lost, start here. You move through pavilions on a hillside, each telling a different part of the story, from traditional painting to more modern work. Take it slowly and with an open mind; an hour and a half is about right. It's on the edge of Ubud, towards Kedewatan, so a scooter or taxi works best. Go in the morning when it's quieter and the temperature is bearable. You'll like it if you're curious about local art or need an indoor plan when the heat bites.
