A lotus pond in the middle of Ubud, ideal for a short stop.
You don't come here for a big temple day, you come to pause for ten minutes between wanders. It's a small temple next to the palace, with a lotus pond at the back, finely carved gates and a couple of huge guardian statues. It's right in the centre, so you can fit it in before lunch or on the way to anywhere else; half an hour is plenty. Afternoon light is kinder for photos and it's less rushed. Dance shows are often staged around here in the evenings, so check what's on. A good fit if you're on your own and want something calm, or short on time.
