Going to Ubud? See who'll be around
Plan your trip and we'll show you travellers on your dates. Only if you both want.
Craft stalls up front and the real local market behind. Go early and haggle.
You walk in past souvenir and bag stalls, but the interesting part happens before it fills up: first thing you can still see the local market, with fruit, flowers and people doing their daily shop. If you're buying, haggle with a smile; the first price is never the last. Bring small cash and avoid the middle of the day, when it's hotter and busier. It's right across from the palace, so it pairs easily on foot with that and Saraswati temple. Good for wandering solo, or picking up gifts without going into a shop.
